A video-conference with Prof. Yehuda Bauer

At 12 noon on 13 October 2010 in the U.S. consulate in Cracow took place a videoconference with the participation of Prof. Yehud Bauer. The professor delivered a lecture under the title: ‘The Holocaust and Genocide’. The organizers of the event were: The Centre for Holocaust Studies JU, Institute of European Studies and Yad VaShem – The Holocaust Martyrs' and Heroes' Remembrance Authority.
The video-conference will be published on the internet page of Yad Vashem (http://www.yadvashem.org/) within the framework of the Israel’s chairmanship in the Task Force.


Yehuda Bauer is a distinguished historian and scientist, an authority in the matters of the Holocaust, anti-Semitism and Jewish resistance during the second World War, a retired professor of The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, an author of numerous publications i.a. ‘Antisemitism in Western Europe’(1988), ‘The Holocaust, Religion and Jewish History’ (1991), ‘Rethinking the Holocaust’(2001).
